Speaking of Baseball...

From an article in WIRED (18.10):

A pro baseball pitcher's delivery is the most violent human motion ever measured in a lab, according to the American Sports Medicine Institute. The pelvis rotates at 515 to 667 degrees per second, the upper trunk at 1,068 to 1,224 degrees per second. The rotational speeds of the elbow and shoulder are the fastest human motions ever measured - 2,200 to 2,700 degrees per second! At the ball's release, the the arm is pulled away from the shoulder socket with 280 pounds of force.
