So far, no one has secured a grip upon the Summit baton. Is this lapse in the relay due to laziness? Indifference? Fear of drug-resistant TB?
Consider this offer tossed onto the virtual table: I would be happy to host another get-together here in Aspen/Snowmass; perhaps we could together create something tangible: music, or cinéma vérité . Any ideas?
Other suggestions off the top of my head: renting a houseboat on Lake Powell (Utah/Arizona border) and exploring the side canyons thereof while not soused or on mushrooms; canoing, fishing, and undoubtedly orienting poorly in the Boundary waters; communing with wolves -- FeralBoy like wolves! -- and sleeping out beneath the Aurora Borealis while backpacking Isle Royale; R&R at Kevin's cabin; taking a sailing course in the Caribbean; working on a crab boat off the coast of Alaska... OK, perhaps someone else should take the wheel.
I'll probably undergo shoulder surgery this Fall, so I need to start planning around my three month rehabilitation. If any of you are interested in any of these ideas, or have further suggestions, please post soon. That is all. At ease.

I like the Lake Powell idea. Aspen would be great, but is there someplace else we could stay besides Bob's sofas / guest beds?
Kevin suggests Memphis/Graceland for Elvis Week Aug 11-19
And yes, Elvis Week is nine days long.

Plus, it's a two hour drive to the Grand Canyon, i.e., Surf 'n' Turf potential!
