Springtime in the Rockies

It's been unusually cold and wet in Colorado this spring, with precipitation approaching decades-old record levels. And while the weather this last week has been very pleasant, and the snow at my elevation is all but gone, I thought I'd post a couple of photos of the crime (of nature) scene: the first taken from my yard just three weeks ago, on a day that we'd eventually receive about twelve inches of new snow, and a recent photo of the plowed section of Trail Ridge Road, in Rocky Mountain National Park, taken by Sam Noblett, of the Loveland Reporter Herald.
