silence is golden
Who needs lyrics?
Not me.
Words just get in the way of what's real.
Just listen to James Carter's jazz interpretation of Pavement tunes. Isn't Stephen Malkmus clever? Clever like a precocious 6-year old playing with legos compared to the James Carter et al. serious architectural creations. Throw the words aways and let's get down to what's real.
"Summer Babe" and "Here" are the best things you'll hear in this life.

Best album of 2005.
(The drummer's no Stevie Nicks, though.)
