The Onion

I've just discovered that The Onion has been posting videos on YouTube as "reports" from Onion News Network television - 26 so far - replete with typical cable news show graphics and production. The A/V format allows for a dimension of enjoyment well above and beyond their rag edition. The few I watched have put me into tears.

A typical yuck: spokeswomen from the National Research Center For Women and Families report that domestic abuse rates have dropped to zero, and that they are turning down grants for additional studies. Cases previously mistaken for domestic abuse have perfectly understandable explanations, they say: poorly placed doorknobs, rickety staircases, etc. "There's NO domestic violence... people should just mind their own business!" Of course, all of the spokeswomen have either a black eye, broken nose, arm in sling, etc. video
