A Hero for Our Time

A short collection of articles in the last issue of Rolling Stone (September 4) celebrates the 10th anniversary of The Big Lebowski. An essay by Walter Kirn argues that "The Dude" is a kind of touchstone for our troubled times - an antidote to the current zeitgeist.
