State of Play (BBC mini-series, 2003)

I've just watched the first three episodes of this six-parter, and I can hardly wait for the second disc. Check it out before Hollywood ruins it (an American version starring Russel Crowe is already in the works for 2009). Political noir arising from a newspaper investigation, with a breezy wit (ala a British Aaron Sorkin)... something for all of you!

I've been in the mood for British espionage lately. Trying to decide between the LeCarre miniseries with Alec Guinness and the harder-to-find series dicussed here (with clips): http://www.contemporary-nomad.com/?p=729
