It's like those old "Faygo Remembers" ads, but appalling

Have you seen this ad on TV? It's truly stunning.

A barbershop owner/proprietor looks on, stunned, as the ribbon-cutting ceremony for “Nitro Cutz” -- a big-box $6 haircut chain -- takes place across the street from his own shop. “I can’t compete with that.” He hightails it to a print shop and orders what turns out to be a banner, which he unfurls in front of his shop, with the legend: We Fix $6 Haircuts. Six months later, NitroCutz is out of business, the building boarded up, and our hero still happily at work in his own place.

So, what’s the commercial for? Who aided our David against Goliath?

The helpful print shop is Office Depot.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the commercial. The irony is rich.
